We met on the midway near the southern most entrance. It was a brisk fall night, so I chose to wear my long, chunky cable knit cardigan, opting to keep it super cute and comfortable. The crowd was clamorous, music blasting from various rides, and there was laughter from children while they ran from their moms yelling at them to slow down, but I heard none of that as soon as our eyes met. He had what I call a Morris Chestnut smile - wide and beautiful, a mouth made to show all 32. We really only came to eat the food, and to enjoy each other's company, but real heavy on eating. After hugging me, he said he already felt full.
On the Midway opens with sweet cotton candy, crisp red apple and a heart that reveals buttery popcorn; notes that evoke the joy of your local state fair.
